7/20/2010 - GIGSTwo gigs @ Mozzfest and The Brixton Jamm, London have been cancelled due to events out of the bands control New gigs are being finalized. All new gig dates will be online very soon.

3/19/2010 - GIG ANNNOUNCED AT PRESTON DEEPDALE STADIUM8th December 2010 - Stop The Blackout will play special gig @ Deepdale Stadium, home of Preston North End Football Club.
3/16/2010 - MORE INFORMATION ON THE NEW CDThe new Photoshoot will be used as artwork for our latest CD, so once these images are back, the CD will be pushed out, you should be able to get it online with itunes and the likes of, posted to you, and hopefully in some local shops.

3/2/2010 - photoshoot/websiteThe next photoshoot has been booked and both new sets will be online shortly to co-inside with a brand new website.
3/2/2010 - recording/new cd4 Brand new tracks have now been recorded and completed @ Motor Museum Studio's, Liverpool. These tracks will be available soon. The tracks that have been recorded are: 'All Our Lovers' // 'Headlights!' // 'On This Day' // 'How Long Must We Climb?' - Previews will be online shortly, and a full release will be announced shortly.
3/2/2010 - GIGSThe next gig will be @ 'The Ruby Lounge, Manchester' playing Alan McGee's 'Greasy Lips' night. Special guest DJ will be Paul Gallagher, brother of Liam and Noel. Tickets are £5 but more information will be announced shortly regarding other acts and times.

12/11/2009 - RecordingStudio time has been booked in late January with Arctic Monkeys Co-Producer Simon Cullwick at Motor Museum in Liverpool. The new songs will be: ‘All Our Lovers’ / ‘How Long Must We Climb?’ / ‘On This Day’ / ‘Headlights!’

12/11/2009 - PHOTOSHOOTOn Saturday 5th December the band had a photoshoot with long-time photographer Barrie Thompson. There will be various images posted around on the Facebook and MySpace but most images will available with the launch of the new website.
12/11/2009 - STOP THE BLACKOUT - UPDATE!2009 has been a quiet year for the band as plans changed. The band has been focusing on their direction and has spent the year writing and rehearsing. There are big plans for 2010. A new website will be launched, a series of gigs are to be announced, a new photoshoot will be online and some new recording, recorded at Motor Museum in Liverpool will be released. Stay tuned!

11/30/2008 - New CDThe latest CD was completed last week @ Motor Museum Studios, Liverpool (Owned by Andy McClusky of O.M.D). It was produced by Simon Cullwick (Arctic Monkeys Co-Producer) and will be available soon. The tracks are

The CD will be for sale and download before the New Year.
11/28/2008 - 2009 - First Gig AnnouncedAfter the bands headline show at Manchester’s infamous Academy 3, the band have decided to headline it again. The show is on Saturday February 28th 2009 and tickets are just £5. Expect the unexpected! To buy tickets please email: info@stoptheblackout.com with your message titled ‘ACADEMY TICKETS’. 11/27/2008 - Disorder MagazineStop The Blackout were featured in the Sep / Oct edition of the Disorder Magazine in association with ‘Noise Festival’. The full page spread was an interview with James about his views on the band and the current music industry.
11/25/2008 - eBayStop The Blackout’s last CD ‘These Eyes’ / ‘In Your Hands’ is now up on eBay. Someone has kindly listed the ‘Rare Single’ on the auction website. There’s not much time left but good luck bidding.

10/26/2008 - Studio Time BookedWe are recording a new CD in November @ Motor Museum Studios in Liverpool. Oasis & Arctic Monkeys have both recorded here. The next CD will feature 3 new songs and old favourite 'No Time At All', but a great new version of it as we have never quite captured it right. Tracks will be:

9/29/2008 - London ShowOn Friday Stop The Blackout played The Long Good Friday @ 229 in London supporting The Brent Flood. Before the end of 2008 you can expect to see the band in the capital once again. Images will be online shortly.

9/14/2008 - London Gig AnnouncedStop The Blackout will play ‘229’ in London on Friday 26th September 2008. The venue is a great venue which has hosted acts such as: ‘Gnarls Barkley’, ‘Primal Scream’, ‘Infadels’, ‘Biffy Clyro’ and ‘Razorlight’. So make sure you get down to the show.

8/27/2008 - News RoundupIn brief, the last few months have been progressive for ‘Stop The Blackout’. Radio slots, recording for TV, supporting ‘One Night Only’, being called ‘World Class’, being described as a ‘Great Manchester Band’, Clint Boon, Simon Cowell, Alex Zane, XFM, Winning Competitions, The Aftershow, Industry.
8/26/2008 - What's Happening Now?A new demo is 60% complete and has been recorded in the band’s own Studio. New dates are being sorted out now. The aim is to have them up by the end of the month. The band is due to be interviewed for the TV show then it will be broadcasted. New songs ‘When The Loves Not There’, ‘Layer Of Adjustment’, ‘The Box’ and ‘Hurricanes’ will be heard at the headline slot at Manchester Academy 3 (31st October). So make sure you have your tickets! It’s £5 and selling well.
8/25/2008 - MySpace ‘Mars Planet Radio’ With Alex ZaneMySpace Radio will be playing ‘These Eyes’ on Alex Zane’s Music Show. The show is the ‘Mars Planet Radio Show’. More details to be announced shortly.
8/24/2008 - Simon CowellJust out of curiosity ‘Stop The Blackout’ got in touch with ‘Syco Records’ which is X Factor Judge; Simon Cowell’s Record label. His label does not sign acts like STB, however the goal was to get some feedback. To the band’s surprise, they were described as being ‘Very Good’ and given details for Sony/BMG which is part of Syco Records.
8/22/2008 - IndustryStop The Blackout have been making advances in the industry recently and have been speaking with Music Lawyers, Booking Agents and some Record Companies regarding their music and the future of the band. There should be some London gigs coming up to showcase our music to them but nothing is concrete at the moment.

Our House Manchester have just launched their new online TV show featuring ‘George Borowski’, ‘El Politica’, ‘The Uzual Suspects’, ‘Rowetta’ (Ex-Happy Mondays/X Factor) and of course ‘Stop The Blackout’. Songs recorded for the TV show included ‘These Eyes’ and ‘Fields In Smoke’. ‘In Your Hands’ was also recorded which will be a bonus online track shortly.
